Our School

guided readingOur School achieves excellent results due to the enthusiasm, knowledge and skills of its highly qualified staff. Students benefit from our school being part of the larger Public Education system which allows access to many specialised programs and excellent learning initiatives.

We value and support students' individual needs and differences. Quality programs ensure outstanding academic results. Our support programs for students with learning difficulties are recognised for their success.

Our supporting programs have enjoyed a strong tradition of achievement. This in turn supports the school's welfare programs.

choirScone Public School offers excellent enrichment programs, particularly in the Performing Arts and Sciences. Our students enjoy an extensive variety of cultural experiences.

Children with Special Needs

Scone Primary School has a Special Education Classroom which emphasises inclusivity, through integration in everyday aspects of school life. This includes assemblies, sports and classroom integration.

We offer a caring environment which caters for each individual student.

An Individual Educational Program (IEP) is established for each child.

These programs emphasise building independence, catering to all needs and special requirements of the child.

Students participate in cooking sessions, gross motor and Riding for the Disabled (RDA).

Uniform

It is the belief of the School Council and P & C that school uniforms help foster pride in oneself and school.  For this reason, the school community has decided that uniforms be worn by all children.
